此前，《絕地求生》使用的一直都是亞馬遜服務器AWS，不過在本季度微軟財報中，他們宣布與這款遊戲達成合作協議，使用微軟Azure為這款遊戲提供多人遊戲服務器支持。
“遊戲推動著硬件的邊界和軟件開發，有一些非常占用CPU和GPU資源的應用和內容，給我們機會發展雲服務。比如《絕地求生》不僅與我們合作成為主機領域Xbox獨占作品，而且還將使用Azure服務。”
微軟希望本次合作講給他們帶來機會擴展雲業務，用服務來換取主機領域的獨占，不僅會給微軟Azure帶來更多用戶，而且還可能會給Xbox One帶來更多獨占遊戲的製作考量。
《絕地求生》預計很快登陸Xbox One，而且將支持Xbox One X的額外性能提升。本作預計首先登陸Xbox遊戲預覽計劃，讓一小部分玩進行測試，讓開發組一邊獲得反饋一邊修改完善。
